After breakfast, travel to TingaTinga, a small village set in the beautiful landscape between Kilimanjaro,
Mount Meru and Longido.
At Tembo Lodge, our Maasai hosts welcome you warmly. Over the next five nights, discover a side of
Tanzania that few visitors have the chance to experience.
Your stay is about much more than visiting a village. Through personal encounters, you are invited to
discover Maasai traditions and everyday life and gain a genuine insight into the local community.
One of the highlights is a visit to our school, Maasailand English Medium School. Meet the children and teachers and see how education is creating new opportunities for future generations. The school is part of our long-term development work through Maasailand Development for Women and Children, and your visit offers an insight into how your journey also supports the local community.
During your stay, meet local families, visit the women’s groups and experience traditional Maasai song and
dance. Explore the surrounding landscape on foot, try traditional spear throwing and hike TingaTinga
Mountain, where beautiful views and lunch in nature await.
A safari in Enduimet Wildlife Management Area offers the chance to discover wildlife in a beautiful and
less-visited natural area.
Evenings can be spent around the fire beneath the African stars, sharing stories, laughter and conversation.
These days offer time for both experiences and relaxation. And perhaps it will be the people you meet who
leave the most lasting memories.
